Before attending film school, John Andreas worked his way up in the camera-department, including working as assistant camera for 2 times Oscar-winning Swedish cinematographer-legend; Sven Nykvist, ASC. With Sven's recommendation-letter he got into the MFA program at American Film Institute (AFI), graduating in 1998. After first shooting the first episodes, then directing the season finale of Netflix-success «Occupied» (2015), his feature film directing debut came with «The Quake» (2018) following with the Norwegian War film «Number 24» (2024).
